Bra alternations for beginners;)

I've been seeing many bra alternations around - most of them were successful. I am very bad at sewing, I just don't have the patience. I wouldn't try to do anything to brand new bras, I rather sell them.
After losing few centimetres in the bust area, I am down to 72/98 ( I was 77/105) and many of bras are too big.  Some of bras are just made so stretchy - like Freya's Jolie. I got mine when I was pregnant and it's size 32gg. Adding my weight loss and stretchiness of the band I've got a lovely bra with huge band:

The unstretched band was 74 cm! There is a picture of Jolie and Carolyn, both are 32gg:

Carolyn is a great fit and the band is 66 cm long. I like June's from Braless in Brasil method which is the easiest way of shortening the bra band. You cut the hooks and eyes off, cut some of the band off and sew the hooks and eyes on again. The band is 66cm now:)

Yes, like I've said before, I am not good at sewing. I'm planning to cover the stiches with some lace. Anyway, the band is smug now and I can wear Jolie again:)

There is one more bra which went under the knife. Quite old and used Masquerade Maia. It's one of the prettiest bras I've seen. I don't know how many owners it had before me, I must be at least 3rd. It's size 34g and was always too small in the cups and too big in the band. Now, when I am only 98cm in bust, the cups fit. The band it's made of satine and it's unfamous for stretchiness. There it is, together with Carolyn:

I  used June's method again. I have to say, I am not happy with only 2 rows of hooks and eyes and I will replace it with set of 3 rows - I just need to find it. This is how the back of Maia looked  in the middle of work and after:

It's not really comfortable at the moment and even if band is around 66cm long, it feels a little bit too tight. Maybe new set of hooks will improve it.

Next on my To Do List is Freya Colette in 34gg.

I am glad to be able this pretty pink bras again and I am waiting for a sewing machine promised by my MIL:)
